Ogunquit Hotels

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

I have been staying in Ogunquit quite a lot recently and so have been trying out a variety of Ogunquit hotels. My sister has just moved to the area and has recently had a baby and so I have been visiting and helping her out. The house is too small for me to stay overnight and I think they need some private family time. What I do is book into one of the Ogunquit ME hotels for a week and then visit my sister after I have had breakfast and her husband has gone to work.

We have a fun day together and I help her with meals and things. We cook the evening meal together and when her husband gets in, we all eat and then when I have helped to tidy away I go back to the hotel so that they have the evening together. It seems to work out really well and as I get such a good sleep, I can let her have a few hours in the day time while I baby sit or even take my little niece out for a work in the buggy and let her catch up a bit. It is working out really well and I hope that they are enjoying it as much as I am. The only thing is the expense for me and I have therefore decided to look into Ogunquit motels because I am hoping that they will be a bit cheaper.

before it goes bad?
the pack has NOT been open and I’m just wondering;
does hamburger go bad in the refrigerator?

Eventually it goes bad. Here are some tests:
1.) See if it stinks. If it does and it is slimy, skip it.
2.) Let your dog sniff it. If the dog is still interested, you can probably eat it.
3.) What is the expiration date on it? If you are a week out of expiration, you might give it a pass.

You could probably cook it at high enough heat to kill off any bacteria, but then you have a taste issue. If it truly smells okay, just cook it well; no steak tartare, please.

like what’s the difference between both of them and will i be able to grow drinking it?

Lactaid is pasteurized milk with the lactose sugar removed. Pasteurized milk actually has little food value in it because all of the enzymes needed for absorbing the nutrients have been killed by the heat. As a result, most people have a really hard time digesting milk and pasteurized dairy products because most of it just has to be eliminated.

Plenty of water and exercise and a balanced diet will help you to grow all that you can.

I drink about 8 cups a day Only in the morning

uh…8 cups a day?? are you kidding?!?! one day i had one cup of coffee and a brownie so when i got to school i was shaking and couldn’t stop…i do think that 8 cups is a bit much does it have any effects on you??

—–

As long as you can sleep at night and you don’t suffer muscle twitching, gut cramps, or diarrhea, then you are not getting too much caffeine. What counts more than the number of cups, of course, is the amount of caffeine. The good varieties of coffee actually have less caffeine per cup than the ordinary brands.

Can you use honey as a substitute for making a apple pie?

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

<!– /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:”"; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:”Times New Roman”; mso-fareast-font-family:”Times New Roman”;} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; text-underline:single;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {color:purple; text-decoration:underline; text-underline:single;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} –>

I presume you mean honey as a substitute for sugar. I wouldn’t in a recipe calling for sugar because honey is a liquid and sugar isn’t, but there are several recipes that call for honey instead of sugar. Like this one;

1 pastry for double-crust pie
5 cups sliced pared apples
3/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter

Fill a pastry lined 9″ pie plate with sliced apples, pour over them the 3/4 cup honey and sprinkle with 1 Tsp. each cinnamon and vanilla.
Dot with small pieces of the 2 Tbls. butter, cover with slashed top crust.
Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until apples are tender.

———-

If you use honey rather than sugar increase the amount of flour or tapioca that you are using as a thickener. It will need to absorb the extra liquid. You may also want to pre bake the pie crust a little, or while you are heating the oven place a cookie sheet in the oven and get it hot, that way when you put the pie on it will bake the bottom of the pie faster so it does not get soggy.
