I just put my male Beta with other fish today. I read that they can get along with some kinds of fish. But, since betas have their own type of food, would it be okay if my beta eats the tropical fish food, and the other fish eat the beta food?

Yes, it’s okay but make sure the betta gets his share of the betta food. If the other fish eats the betta food, it will be okay. The main difference is that the betta food is higher in protein. If the betta only eats the tropical food then you may want to slowly get him to eat the betta food because it’s much better for the betta. If the betta eats both, I don’t think that will be a problem.

K so everything’s set-up on my aquarium except for the glass lid..
Here are the parts:
4 pieces of glass
2 white strips
4 black strips
….
Now what do I do? I have no idea… and it didn’t come with instructions.

P.S. It’s a miracle aquarium (65 gallons), I don’t know if that helps

the glass pices the white strips and the black strips are called a versa top

the glass is connected to gather 2 pices of glass with the black strip knowen as the hinge strip it will allow for the opening and closeing of the front pice of glass the white strip is attached to the back to close off the opening at the back of the tank and can be cut so that you can fit a filter at the back of the tank and for an cords that need a way out the back of the tank

——–

There should be 2 smaller pieces of glass and 2 larger. The 2 smaller pieces are for the front where you lift the lid. There should be a plastic piece, probably the 2 white strips, which bends, and that should go in between the 2 pains of glass. Slide them on. Then there should be another couple of strips that go on the back which attach to the larger pieces of glass. Then you should have some kind of pieces for the handle, if you have those, attach them to the front of the smaller pain of glass. Then your lid should fit on the tank, with the bendy side allowing you to lift up the lid. If the pains of glass are the same size then just omit having to put the glass in specific places.

if you just got the mouse, DO NOT pick him up for the first 2 days. Let him get used to the sounds and smells. It is recommended that you talk to the mouse without pick him up for the first few days, make sure it is calm and soft so you do not frighten him. After that put your hand in the cage near him and let him come to you, do not chase him. after awhile he should get better so that you can pick him up or at least pet him.

Vinyl or Aluminum Fences

Monday, July 7th, 2008

So you’ve just recently purchased an old-fashioned ranch just outside the city limits. You want to fix the place up and make it very presentable. Also, you have thought of purchasing a few horses for your children and dream of making the place the perfect home for you and your family. The first thing you thought of putting up is a good and sturdy fence. There are many choices for fences and you can choose from either vinyl or aluminum fence or a horse fence to keep your horses in. When choosing a fence, here are some practical ways on what to look for.

1. Quality. Fences are long-term investments. Although it is a fact that you will have to replace them one day, it’s best that you choose something that will last you some good years. When deciding on vinyl fences, choose companies that are known in the business. You ran a risk on purchasing from foreign companies because most of their products can contain items harmful to humans, like lead. If you plan a family-friendly home, you must be very careful about purchasing fences that are safe and durable. Vinyl fences, using advanced technology uses polymers that are more reliable than regular vinyl. They are rust free and can last a long time.

Aluminum fences on the other are more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. There can be problems when it comes to rust but some manufacturers today have developed powder-coating to prevent the onset of rust. Traditional horse fences made of wood are still being used today but there are already choices of vinyl and plasticized horse fences or the type used on airlines and bridges. There are also mesh horse fences that can help keep not only your horses in but also your dogs and other pets.

2. Budget. Fences would also depend on your budget. The most inexpensive ones are always the traditional wooden fences but have serious implications when it comes to strength and durability. A vinyl fence is a bit more expensive especially if you are planning to surround the whole property but it can definitely last longer than wooden fences. Mesh wire fences are more budget-friendly while aluminum fences would depend on the quality, although they can be quite sturdy and can withstand rain and wind.

3. Other factors. These factors would include aesthetics and purpose. Aluminum fences give a very romantic touch to fences but so do vinyl fences. If you have a small area to cover, you can use vinyl or aluminum fences and you can alternate with other types of fencing material for the rest of the area.
