I have recently been helping to plan a wedding and I had no idea how much work was involved. I guess when you have not got married yourself you have no idea about everything there is to do from organising venues, flowers and cars to favours, invitations and wedding cake toppers. There are so many decisions to make that I would not have thought of such as whether to have aisle runners and what gifts to present to the ushers. I guess that I was under the impression that it was as simple as book a church, buy a dress and get some food for the church hall but of course it can be much more complicated than that. I suppose how complicated you make it does depend on how far you want to go. You could keep it simple, all in one venue with them organising everything and then there is just outfits and wedding accessories to think about. However, some people seem to want to make their lives difficult and my friend was no exception as she planned everything to the tiniest detail. However, it was worth it because she did have a fantastic time and everything went very smoothly.
