Working for asda?

i have a interveiw today can anybody tell whats it like to work for them

Not as bad as these other guys are saying. I worked there for 3 years in various different departments. It’s flexible as I worked around my studies and the pay is much better than at Jessops for example (another place I worked). You get a payrise every year and a bonus as well if they have made enough profit. More holidays than where I currently work (I have now got a graduate job), and most people are very nice. Good price canteen food too and 10% discount on your grocery shopping, and 20% off selected things at Christmas! Only bad thing was you had to work at least 1 weekend day, and if you were contracted to Sundays you wouldn’t be paid for Easter Sunday when it was closed (do get paid for Christmas and Boxing Day however).

Glad to see you have had positive feedback (lol) I don’t and never have worked for Asda but go for it, its a job and jobs lead to other jobs its always easier to find other work when you are in work, OK yes there are days nobody wants to go to work but we all get em at least its working with the public which can be very funny. My 1st job when I left school was in retail I really enjoyed it and sometimes even now (15 yrs) later miss it. People moan about going to work at the end of the day no one forces anyone to go to work if its that bad find something else there are jobs out there that’s why job centres are open! go to the interview and learn from the experience get the job and have some personal pride in the fact that the money going into your bank account is from your effort to go out and work.
